Guiding Eyes for the Blind FULL

Guiding Eyes for the Blind breeds, raises, trains and provides exceptional guide dogs and services completely free of charge to those with vision loss or impairment. Guiding Eyes for the Blind is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with all services provided completely free of charge.

Students will learn about this organization from the time the puppy is born through their training. Students will hear from Cheryl Apostle who works directly with the puppies and dogs at the Guiding Eyes for the Blind facility in Yorktown. Additionally, students will learn from a fellow high schooler how teens/students can make an impact and support the organization with their time.

Students will have the opportunity to meet dogs in training to be seeing eye dogs. Lastly, students will make fleece chew toys for the young puppies at the Guiding Eyes for the Blind facility.
