40% of our neighbors in the Bronx (20min from SHS) are food insecure and 1 out of 3 Bronx kids are hungry. Help pack food for the Jamaica Benevolent Fridge where people can access food 24/7. Learn about ways you can volunteer and get involved to reduce hunger and food waste.
In this session, we will pack meal bags for the Jamaica Benevolent Community Fridge in the Bronx, watch videos to try to understand people's lived experiences with food insecurity, and write notes of caring to be included with the meal bags.
